GLOBAL EXPANSION
We host a series of events and tactical sessions throughout the year with three specific objectives: to help you form deep connections.

A CULTURE THAT RESONATES WITH FOUNDERS
Raising venture capital is about more than just swapping shares for money; it’s about inviting the right investors to compliment your team. StartupVC aspires to always be the choice for seed capital in Colorado with a reputation for fierce loyalty, deep competence and complete alignment with founders
STRONGER THAN EVER
2008 wasn’t a great year for starting anything, especially a venture fund, but the hard times that followed helped Startupvc refine its identity as a scrappy seed fund that was unflinchingly committed to the success of the brilliant founders it backed. Thanks to the success of these early investments Startupvc has gone on to raise two subsequent funds and invest in 100+ companies. Through a lot of stress, grit, and a generous helping of luck, Startupvc is what it is today. Nearly 10 years later, we are pleased that our big bet on the innovative potential of Colorado now seems obvious, even though there were few who thought a dedicated seed fund would be viable when it launched.

FOUNDER AND MANAGING PARTNER
Adrian Gordon is an entrepreneurial VC with a passion for investing and building Colorado and the West. In 2008, Adrian recognized a need for both leadership and capital at the seed stage in Colorado. Adrian worked with the Colorado ecosystem to found StartupVC Seed Fund to fill this gap. Starting a seed stage firm focused on Colorado during the Great Recession was not easy, but Startupvc is now the most active investor in Colorado at the seed stage with 85+ investments.
Now into his second decade as a seed stage investor, Adrian was fortunate to get his 10,000 hours in venture capital early in his career. Prior to Startupvc, Adrian was an analyst, associate and principal at Rodman where he developed a love for venture capital investing in the Mountain West Region. Before Rodman, Adrian also worked as an associate for Google and as a consultant in Bain Capital where he advised clients on a range of strategic, operational, and organizational improvements.
